Speaking to 30 participants from five countries, Bejoy told the group "It is not difficult to have an online presence - you just need to know what to get done and at what cost. In India we pay for lack of information. I am sure a lot of you have had your own cost of learning and our endeavour is to avoid that cost."

The aim of the E-Squared co-founders was to provide the Amex partners a good understanding of digital space, how to use it effectively and to give them working templates and benchmarks to execute their online campaigns.

To achieve that, over the two-day session, they touched on a range of areas such as websites, marketing online, engaging customers online through social media and reputation management.

They told the participants there are three basic elements that are interlinked in digital marketing - a website, social media and online marketing. Using case studies they showed what it takes to evolve from a basic presence to advanced and on to being cutting edge and covered all aspects of maintaining a cutting edge online and mobile presence by monitoring the effectiveness of what you are doing in an internet and mobile capacity.

The response from the audience was enthusiastic and overwhelming.

"The workshop was very hands-on and had real business insights," said Prashant, a large travel agent from Jamshedpur. "I had no idea what SEO meant or how to think about hosting. This workshop has been very insightful and I can see myself implementing the ideas suggested by Gunjan and Bejoy."

"As CEO of a large travel agency I am faced with different challenges online," said Amanda from Sri Lanka. "What I appreciated most about Bejoy and Gunjan is that they de-mystified everything. They told us things a vendor would never tell, like what it should actually cost for getting a brochure website done."

And Dorji from Bhutan Travels said: "The most unique part of the training was that we all had opportunity to discuss our business problems with the trainers, individually and in small groups. This (training session) actually had takeaways and we have also discussed the idea of having an update every three months."
