Alternative Fuse Offers What Facebook Does Not

Alternative Fuse may be a long shot away from challenging Facebook but this new Social Network with blog capabilites, is in many respects a better service. http://alternativefuse.com

Offically launched August 19 of this year, Alternative Fuse is at 100 registered members and growing. While still very small by comparison, members of Alternative Fuse are loyal and excited about the services offered because of how the website incorporates many different "levels" of Social Networking into one.

Roughly speaking; there are three levels to a social network. And these features are all used in Alternative Fuse:

1 - Instant Communications, via: Video Chat, Instant Messenger, Wall posts, multiplayer Games, and Messages.

2 - Information, via: capability for a user to display their profile with info about themselves; groups; events; file sharing, or anything with a specific purpose.

3 - Blogs, via: writing and creating an article or a page that is totally designed by the user, this can published to a public blog or to the user's personal blog.

Understand these elements is critical in understanding what makes a good format for a social network. Facebook only offers the first two aspects, and even then they do not offer all of aspect 1.

Many of Alternative Fuse members are from countries ouside the United States, this is largely attributed to the domination the facebook holds on the U.S. social network market; however, with a younger generation turing away from Facebook for reasons simply as; their parents are on Facebook, or because they feel Facebook does not offer the services they want.

Alternativefuse.com, offers all levels of Social Network with a few added media bonuses; namely, Web TV, News, and Articles. Be sure to keep an eye on Alternative Fuse in the weeks and months to come as there will surely be a rise in interest among certain groups.
