The American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) is an independent, non-profit certifying body founded in 1993 to serve the indoor air quality industry. ACAC offers third-party accredited personnel certifications in fields related to indoor environmental consulting, remediation and management.

ACAC certification programs are accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB), a nationally recognized third part accreditation body. ACAC offers the only third-party accredited certifications specific to the indoor air quality field.

ACAC certifications are board-awarded by an independent panel of industry experts and rely on psychometrically accredited examinations and verified field experience. Certificants must participate in 40 hours of professional development activity every two years to maintain their accredited certifications.
