The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls announced today its yearlong calendar of unforgettable special events, including interactive cooking classes, workshops, fabulous dinners, wine and beer tastings and more.

The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls announced today its yearlong calendar of unforgettable special events, including interactive cooking classes, workshops, fabulous dinners, wine and beer tastings and more. Located in southeast Ohio's dazzling Hocking Hills region, many of the 2012 events will take place in the inn's Gathering Place, a one-of-a-kind meeting and events facility with state-of-the-art green features. The 5,000-square-foot, fully handicapped accessible space accommodates up to 40 people.

New for 2012, The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls is offering a series of fun and unique discounts nearly every month; everything from special pricing for dentists and dental office workers throughout February, which is National Dental Month, to 25% off for Red Cross volunteers during National Red Cross Month (March). Valentine's Day Dinner, Feb. 11, 14 & 18: Always a sell-out, couples enjoy a legendary romantic getaway at the Inn, including an elegant dinner. Couples will receive 25% off lodging on Feb. 14. Cost is $49/person for dinner.

Weekend CookInn Classes, Jan. 27-28; March 30-31; Sept. 14-15: Overnight guests will join Chef Anthony Schulz for dessert and wine on Friday night. On Saturday, guests prepare that night's dinner. Winter features feel-good winter foods, spring guests will cook light fare with bold flavor and fall highlights local fruit: pawpaws, apples and pears in sweet and savory dishes. This hands-on experience ranges from $485-$649/person depending on single or shared room and includes an Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls apron and Saturday night dinner. Each class is limited to eight and an overnight stay is required.

Seasonal Wine TasteInns, Feb. 24; April 27; Nov. 9: Friends and guests will party the night away with Inn owner Terry Lingo, Chef Anthony Schulz and a selected wine expert. Each TasteInn features a different beverage style: Obscure Wines of the World in February; Italian Wines from Super Tuscans to Orviertos in April; and California wines in November. Guests are encouraged to bring their questions and a hearty appetite. TasteInns begin at 6 p.m. with appetizers and your first pour. Cost is $75/person.

Easter and Mother's Day Brunches, Father's Day Barbecue April 8, May 13, June 17, 11:30 a.m.: Celebrate these special holidays at The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls with an unforgettable meal with friends and family and all the fixins', including the inn's legendary berry cobbler. Brunch is $21/adults, $12/children; Father's Day Barbecue is $18/adults. Special Sunday night room rates available.

Wine & Beer Fest, July 21; Sept. 29: Join Matthew Barbee from Rockmill Brewery and wine expert Steve Gifford at The Gathering Place from 2-5 p.m. to test any of five varieties of beers and wines, and enjoy artisanal cheeses and fruits, gravlax and tapenade with crostini and flatbreads. Cost is $20/Person and reservations are not needed. Retail shopping will be available.

Summer Desserts CookInn Class, June 27: Chef Anthony Schulz will teach guests how to make desserts from scratch. Easy and delicious, this class includes instruction, five recipes and lunch. Recipe examples include Citrus and Lavender Cheesecake and Raspberry Crème Brulee and takes place 11-2 for only $55/person.

Summer CookInn in the Garden with Chef Anthony, August 1: Chef Anthony Schulz teaches guests to make quick and easy foods perfect for get-togethers with friends or family. Held 11-1, this mid-week class is only $55/person and includes lunch and recipes.

Thanksgiving Dinner at the Inn, Nov. 22: Friends and family will give thanks and eat a bountiful meal at the Inn this Thanksgiving. With all of the traditional fixings, reserve early because this dinner is always sold out. Cost is $42/Adults and $21/Children 10 & under.

Cookie Baking, Dec. 2, 5 and 7: Join cookie queen and breakfast cook, Joan Heitman for the Inn's most popular and longest-running cooking class. This hands-on class is always a sellout, with guests baking five different recipes carefully selected by Joan and Innkeeper Ellen Grinsfelder. Lunch is provided and guests will receive a box of cookies to take home, along with the fabulous recipes. Cost is $55.

Holiday Wreath Making, Dec. 6: Join Kellie Hutchison, Inn gardener and nature enthusiast, to create a natural 20-24-inch wreath of fresh cut evergreens and dried botanicals. Guests may bring along a special accent to personalize their wreath. Cost is $55 and includes lunch and all supplies.

New Year's Eve Celebration Dinner, Dec. 31: Let the Inn cook a feast for you and your guests while ringing in the New Year. Dinner is $49/person.
