34 Students Of Resonance Got Selected For The Second Stage Of International Olympiads !
Resonance students showed their dominance by total selection of 34 students in Stage-I out of which 23 are from Kota Study Centre, 6 from Jaipur and 5 from Mumbai Study Centers.
Online, January 2, 2012 (Newswire.com) - In the recently declared results of first stage of various International Olympiads held on 27th November 2011, students of Resonance showed their dominance. 33 students of Resonance have been declared qualified for the second stage of these International Olympiads. Study Centres of Resonance at Kota contributed 23, Jaipur & Mumbai contributed 5 selections each. From the selected students 29 students are enrolled in Resonance Yearlong Classroom Contact Programmes (YCCPs), 3 & 1 students are enrolled in Resonance's Pre-foundation Career Care Programmes (PCCPs) of Kota & Mumbai, The second stage of Astronomy, Chemistry & Junior Science will be held on 28 January 2012 and Physics, Biology on 29 January 2012.
International Olympiads for Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology and Sr. Astronomy are organized for the students upto class XI and XII. Also, International Junior Science Olympiad is organized for students upto class X. First stage is upto regional level, Second upto National level, third stage is Orientation cum Selection Camp, fourth is Pre-departure Training Camp and the fifth & final round is International Olympiads. Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), Mumbai coordinates the preliminary four rounds of International Olympiads with the support of Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) and National Board of Higher Mathematics.
Students from Resonance have contributed 14 medals (7 Gold, 5 Silver & 2 Bronze) in last 5 years in the tally of medals won by Indians in International Olympiads. Out of these 10 students were registered in the regular classroom programmes and 4 in correspondence programmes.
Total 7 students from Resonance got selected in the first stage of International Physics Olympiad (National Standard Examination in Physics) out of which 5 students are from Kota Study Centre and 2 from Mumbai Study Centre. Also, 9 students from Resonance have been declared qualified in the first round of International Chemistry Olympiad (National Standard Examination in Chemistry) out of which 6 students are from Kota Study Centre,2 from Jaipur Study Centre and 1 from Mumbai Study Centre. 11 students from Resonance have been declared qualified in the International Astronomy Olympiad (Senior Category) out of which 7 students are from Kota Study Centre, 3 from Jaipur Study Centre and 1 from Mumbai Study Centre.2 students from Kota Study Centre have also qualified in got selected in the first stage of International Biology Olympiad (National Standard Examination in Biology).
Pre-foundation Career Care Programmes (PCCPs) of Resonance is the division for students upto class X aspiring for competitive examinations. 4 students from the PCCP division of Resonance have also got selected in the first round of International Astronomy Olympiad (Junior Category). 3 students are from Kota Study centre and 1 from Mumbai Study Centres.
